You Don’t Have to Be Anywhere Specific to Feel at Home
You Don’t Have to Be Anywhere Specific to Feel at Home

After 7 months of travelling through Thailand, Bali, Dubai, and now Australia, I’ve had a lot of moments to reflect.
Moments of awe, of exhaustion, of deep gratitude, and if I’m honest—moments of loneliness too.
And here’s what I’ve come to realise: Home isn’t always a place. It’s a rhythm. A nervous system response. A feeling.
So instead of a deep dive into physiology or performance today, I want to share 5 things about me—that I haven’t really said out loud before.
The sea is my reset. Give me waves, salt, and open sky—and I can feel my entire body relax. It’s the fastest way I reconnect to myself. No phones. No pressure. Just nature, rhythm, and breath.
I love my own space. Solitude doesn’t scare me. It fuels me. I’ve realised I do my best thinking, feeling, creating—when I have space to just be.
I like cooking my own food. Even while travelling, I crave that little ritual of choosing ingredients, prepping a meal, and knowing what’s going into my body. It anchors me.
I move my body every day. Whether it’s yoga, boxing, lifting, or walking dogs—movement is my therapy. Not for aesthetics. For sanity. For regulation. For me.
I still get stuck in my head. Yep—even with all my tools. Even with all my growth. I still spiral. I still question myself. But I’ve learned how to catch it quicker. To name it. To soften it. And to return to my truth.
💭 The deeper message? You don’t need to be anywhere specific to feel at home. You just need to know what brings you back to yourself.
For me, that’s:
The sea
Breathwork
Honest friendships
Horses (obviously!)
Quiet mornings
And showing up for this work—supporting other women who want to feel better in their bodies.
So let me ask you: ✨ What brings you home?
Is it music? Movement? Food? Horses? A scent? A person?
I’d love to hear it. And I hope, wherever you are right now—you can find a little moment of that feeling.
With heart, Nika 💛
