5 Countries, No Routine… and Still No Bloat
5 Countries, No Routine… and Still No Bloat

This year has been wild.
I’ve lived and worked in 5 countries over the past 7 months.
That’s meant new kitchens, unfamiliar foods, different climates, disrupted sleep, timezone chaos — and zero consistent routine.
The old me would’ve panicked.
She would’ve spiraled into all-or-nothing thinking.
Skimped meals. Skipped movement.
Told herself she had to be “all in” or not bother at all.
But this year, I committed to a different approach.
I stopped chasing perfection and started building real, sustainable foundations.
No extremes. No dieting. No punishing routines.
Just:
Whole-food nutrition
Functional movement
Nervous system tools (my “brain gym”)
And despite all the unpredictability… here’s what’s happened:
👉🏼 My periods are now regular — no more cramps, pain or bloating
👉🏼 My body has stayed consistent — no crash dieting, no body shame
👉🏼 I’m bloat-free, even when eating out and drinking alcohol
👉🏼 I feel strong in the saddle again, even after time away from riding
That last one really hit me.
I had a couple of lessons recently, and the rider I am today is resilient, mobile, and clear. The “old Nika” would’ve felt stiff, unbalanced, and defeated.
What changed?
Not discipline.
Not willpower.
Not being perfect.
What changed was how I show up for my body — with care, consistency, and clarity.
And that’s the shift I want for every rider.
If you’re tired of chasing quick fixes…
